Mountain gorillas inhabit the forests of Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda on the high slopes of the Virunga Volcanoes. Gorilla trekking is a wonderful, unique experience where you are afforded the opportunity to see one of the approximately 700 remaining gentle giants in their natural environment.

To track these animals among the tangled vines and giant trees, is an amazing adventure. We mostly approach the gorillas from the Ugandan side. Uganda straddles the equator, with shimmering lakes, lofty mountains, and mysterious forests. This beautiful country is home to four of Africa's seven great lakes, and it is the source of the White Nile at Jinja.

Another highlight of the trip is the memorable countryside of Uganda, known as The Pearl of Africa. Uganda has the greatest variety of primates anywhere in Africa, including chimpanzees and mountain gorillas.
